Rural Electrification Program of the National Electrification Administration (NEA)

The energization of Sitio Kabulalaan and Sitio Bilag in San Manuel, Naguilian, Isabela is another breakthrough in the Rural Electrification Program of the National Electrification Administration (NEA).

In support to this program, the Isabela II Electric Cooperative (ISELCO II) has officially energized these two Sitios on July 15, 2020. The Ceremonial Switch-on took place at Brgy. Hall, San Manuel, Naguilian, Isabela.

In attendace at the event were Vice Mayor Bernardo P. Dela Peña, Sangguniang Bayan Members of the Municipality of Naguilian, Brgy. Officials of San Manuel headed by Brgy. Captain Lurey Lucero, and ISELCO II officials such as Dir. Gaudencio A. Reyes, Jr. and General Manager David Solomon M. Siquian where the latter delivered a message for the new member-consumer-owners of the said sitios.

During the program, Ms. Genevieve L. Uy, Information Officer, oriented the new members about ISELCO II operations, where electricity comes from, and how ISELCO II operates as an electric distribution utility. Whereas, Ms. April R. Cubangbang, MSDMR Section Head, expounded on R.A 7832 known as “Anti-electricity and Electric Transmission Lines/Materials Pilferage Act of 1994″ and she explained the causes of power outages. Lastly, Ms. Pinky Ann Lucas, ISD Manager, imparted salient provisions of R.A 11361 otherwise known as the “Anti-Obstruction of Power Lines Act which was signed into law by Pres. Rodrigo Duterte on August 8, 2019.

To end the program, the recipients conveyed their gratitude to NEA, ISELCO II, and PHILRECA for implementing programs beneficial to the interest of the consuming public and that which spur economic development.
