Power Monitoring Update (Tropical Cyclones and Habagat)
#NEAUpdate | More than half a million consumers of Luzon-based electric cooperatives (ECs) are now affected by widespread power failure associated with the effects of Typhoon Emong, tropical cyclones Dante and Crising, as well as the southwest monsoon rains.
In an updated situation report on Friday, the NEA Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Department (DRRMD) said it continues to monitor developments in 52 ECs from 33 provinces across eight regions nationwide in light of recent weather disturbances.
LUELCO in La Union and PANELCO 1 in Pangasinan remain without power as of 3:00 p.m. on July 25, 2025. The main causes have been attributed to transmission issues, damaged distribution lines, and massive floods.
