Occupational First Aid 2nd Day

November 17, 2023 – The 2nd day of the Cooperative’s comprehensive first aid training program focused on teaching participants the essential skills of bandaging and proper carrying techniques. In this training, participants learned the importance of bandages in providing immediate care and stabilizing injuries. They gained hands-on experience in applying different types of bandages, including gauze, triangular, and elastic bandages, to effectively manage wounds, sprains, and fractures.
Additionally, the training covered the correct methods of carrying injured individuals to ensure their safety and minimize further harm. Participants learned various carrying techniques, such as the two-person seat carry, the clothes drag, and the blanket drag, depending on the situation and the severity of the injury.
Once again, the cooperative extends its gratitude to the Philippine RedCross and to Mr. Mark Oliver Alimuc & Mr. Lorencio Caldeña, as well as to ISELCO II’s Safety Officer Mr. Henry Pavon, for serving as resource speakers and sharing their invaluable knowledge and skills.
