NEA – BOA, Warm Welcome & Fellowship Night
The Northeast Luzon Electric Cooperatives Association (NELECA) warmly welcomed the visiting officials and executive staff of the National Electrification Administration (NEA) on April 6, 2025, at the Cauayan City Airport. Among those who arrived in the province were the NEA Board of Administrators (BOA), led by Asec. Mario C. Marasigan and NEA Administrator Antonio Mariano C. Almeda.
The official visit of the NEA officials and executive staff aimed to foster collaboration, address issues, and share best practices with the electric cooperatives.
Meanwhile, the visitors could not hide their admiration for the unity and cohesiveness displayed by the NELECA ECs on the day of their arrival. In a non-verbatim statement, Asec. Marasigan remarked, “The NELECA ECs are represented by different colors, but their cohesiveness is remarkable.” According to the statement of NELECA President and NUVELCO General Manager Fredel Salvador, “there is no competition among the Region 2 ECs, as we uphold the principle ‘No ECs left behind’.” This is an exemplary commitment that the ECs in Region II can justifiably take pride in.
Additionally, Engr. Erni G. Baggao, General Manager of ISELCO II and President of the National Association of General Managers of Electric Cooperatives (NAGMEC) Region II, expressed his profound satisfaction that ISELCO II was chosen to host the NEA officials during their stay in the region.
A simple program was held yesterday at the Hotel Andrea in Cauayan City, attended by the Board of Directors, General Managers, and key staff from various cooperatives in the region, including Batanes Electric Cooperative (BATANELCO), Cagayan I Electric Cooperative (CAGELCO-I), Cagayan II Electric Cooperative (CAGELCO II), Isabela I Electric Cooperative (ISELCO I), Isabela II Electric Cooperative (ISELCO II), Nueva Vizcaya Electric Cooperative (NUVELCO), and Quirino Electric Cooperative (QUIRELCO). Moreover, Hon. Caesar “JC” S. Dy, Jr., Cauayan City Mayor graced the occasion.
The dedication and vision of the esteemed leaders in the power industry inspire the NELECA ECs to persist working collaboratively toward a common goal.
