NEA Administrator Antonio Mariano Almeda had a consultative meeting with Region II Electric Cooperatives (ECs) in Victoria, Isabela

Administrator Almeda provided the ECs with updates on the agency’s plans and projects. He discussed the amendment of criteria for EC categorization and the establishment of regional procurement hubs for ECs, among others.
The NEA Chief also reiterated NEA’s assistance to ECs in the Competitive Selection Process and Franchise Renewal applications. He recognized the efforts of the ECs in promoting sustainable rural development through rural electrification.
Present at the meeting were the officials of Isabela I Electric Cooperative, Inc. (ISELCO I), Isabela II Electric Cooperative (ISELCO II), Nueva Vizcaya Electric Cooperative (NUVELCO), Cagayan I Electric Cooperative, Inc. (CAGELCO I), Cagayan II Electric Cooperative, Inc. (CAGELCO II), and Quirino Electric Cooperative (QUIRELCO).
During the meeting, PHILRECA Party-list Rep. and ISELCO I Board President Presley de Jesus expressed his support on the leadership of Administrator Almeda.
