Isabela PIO updates Typhoon Uwan

Tropical Cyclone Fung-Wong is forecast to make landfall over the southern portion of Isabela or the northern portion of Aurora between late Sunday evening, November 9, and early Monday morning, November 10, according to PAGASA.
The cyclone, which is expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) by late Friday or early Saturday, will be locally named “Uwan.”
PAGASA warned that Fung-Wong could rapidly intensify, reaching typhoon strength within 24 hours and possibly super typhoon category by Saturday night or Sunday morning.
Based on the current forecast scenario, the highest possible Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) to be raised is Signal No. 5, the weather bureau added.
