ERC INSPECTION | MAY 24, 2023

A joint inspection of all substations in the service area of ISELCO II was conducted on May 24, 2023 by representatives from the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) and ISELCO II area Engineers.
The substation inspection was carried out to review and assess the actual demands of the Cooperative as a mandatory measure in relation to its CAPEX projects filed before the Energy Regulatory Commission.
Substations are crucial components of the distribution system that serve several important functions. Substations need to be maintained properly by Distribution Utilities to ensure that they are safe and operationally efficient in delivering power flow to commercial, residential, and industrial consumers.
Following the completion of the inspection, the inspectors held an exit conference to discuss the findings, observations and overall conclusions from the work as well as any relevant recommendations from the Commission.
