EC Simultaneous Line Clearing and Tree Planting Activity
The Isabela II Electric Cooperative led by General Manager David Solomon M. Siquian and through the support of the Board of Directors chaired by Dir. Walfrido G. Binag partake in the conduct of a simultaneous tree-planting and line clearing activities today August 11, 2021. This is in consonance to the National Electrification Administration (NEA) 52nd founding anniversary this August and the 12th National Electrification Awareness Month (NEAM), with the theme “NEA-ECs: Arise as One, Championing National Development and Building Sustainable Communities through Rural Electrification”.
Employees of the Cooperative took part in the tree-planting at Barangay Santiago, Quirino, Isabela while the line clearing is a continuous activity of ISELCO II in its coverage area.
The tree-planting and line clearing activity is in accordance with Republic Act No. 11361 “An Act Ensuring The Continuous And Uninterrupted Transmission And Distribution Of Electricity And The Protection Of The Integrity And Reliability Of Power Lines, And Providing Penalties For Violations Thereof” and the Department of Energy Circular No. DC# 2020-02-0002 “The Implementing Rules And Regulations of Republic Act No. 11361”.
Its purpose is to ensure uninterrupted conveyance of electricity from generating plants to our end users, and to protect our transmission, sub-transmission lines and distribution system and finally to guarantee that our power lines remain free from dangerous activities and improvements.
