CDA-REGISTERED ELECTRIC CO-OPS UNDERGO 2-DAY TRAINING TO IMPLEMENT NEW COOPERATIVE ASSESSMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM

Electric cooperatives registered with and under the supervision of the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) are set to migrate into a new system of reporting with the adoption of the new online assessment information system of CDA.
The processes and intricacies of the new system were bared in a recent orientation-workshop conducted April 17-20, 2022 at the Winford Hotel Manila by the Philippine Federation of Electric Cooperatives (PHILFECO) in close coordination with CDA. Attending participants, mostly Compliance Officers and concerned Department Managers of PHILFECO member-ECs, were guided hands-on in a step-by-step procedure that facilitated their immediate access and understanding of the changes made and the new features introduced on the regulatory submissions of mandatory reports as provided under the law.
PHILFECO Chairman David Solomon M. Siquian, in his welcome remarks, urged the cooperation and utmost concentration of all training participants to the new co-op assessment info system as a vital tool in addressing the urgency of ECs’ compliance in the submission of prescribed reports. Officials from the CDA Central Office, namely Ms. Sally S. Trinanes, Ms.Rhodora A. Fernando, and Mr. Ian Dave U. Alindajao ably facilitated the hands-on training as Resource persons, mentoring and sharing their knowledge to equip participants with the skills necessary to successfully implement the system on their own.
This Seminar-Orientation on the Cooperative Assessment Information System (CAIS) is the fourth training activity undertaken by PHILFECO for the year 2022 in line with its continuing effort to provide the needed technical support and assistance to its member-ECs.###
