Bangon Masbate, NEA updates

NEA Administrator Antonio Mariano Almeda joined President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. in his visit to Masbate today, 01 October 2025, for a comprehensive situation briefing on the extent of recent damage brought by Typhoon ‘Opong’ in the province.
Present in the meeting were Department of Energy (DOE) Undersecretary Mario Marasigan, National Power Corporation (NPC) President Jericho Nograles, and Office of Civil Defense Administrator and National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) Executive Director Undersecretary Harold Cabreros, as well as officials from several national government agencies including Department of Agriculture, Department of Education (DepEd), Department of Labor and Employment, Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development, and Department of Public Works and Highways.
Also in attendance were provincial government officials and local chief executives, including Masbate Governor Richard Kho, Rep. Wilton Kho, and Masbate City Mayor Ara Kho. The meeting was held at the Masbate National Comprehensive High School in Masbate City.
