“And a sword will pierce through your own soul also, that thoughts out of many hearts may be revealed.” – Luke 2:35
Reflection: Simeon’s prophecy to Mary reveals that her role as the Mother of the Redeemer would involve intense personal suffering. Standing at the foot of the Cross, Mary shared intimately in the passion of her Son out of profound love for Him and humanity. Her life shows us that suffering accepted in union with God can serve a redemptive purpose in His divine plan. When we face our own sorrow, we can turn to Our Lady of Sorrows for comfort and courage.
